Very earthy.... I like the fact that the tree is the darkest park of the image. I can't completely distinguish wether the picture is a flat or low angle, which is partially why i like it. The photo allows the view to decide what their opinion is.

The low angle and looking up at the sun through the tree makes the tree seem big, and the viewer seem small. It reminds us that we are not the most important thing in the world and that we are very small in comparison to the planet earth as a whole. Unlike many low angle shots, this one doesn’t make me feel dominated, but rather reminds me that the world does not revolve around me.

The medium shot is really cool because it shows many other trees in the background, increasing the viewer’s feeling of unimportance. No people are in the shot, so it seems to be the viewer against a whole forest, and the viewer isn’t even as big or powerful as one tree, let alone a whole forest of them. It is a really humbling feeling.

The silhouette of the tree and the natural light is calming. I feel that by seeing the silhouette of the tree it appears even bigger. Without the details to help a viewer gauge distance, the tree appears bigger than it would be if it was photographed naturally. The natural light and the sun peaking through the leaves gives off a sense of contentment. It seems to be reassuring the viewer that even though he/she aren’t as powerful as he/she thought he/she was, everything will be alright. The lighting helps the picture portray that even though I am not as powerful as I thought I was, it will all be alright.

The camera is focused, but not intensely. It shows nature as it truly is, which makes the viewer feel calm.
The leading lines of the silhouette lead to the sun streaming through the leaves. We see the powerfulness of the tree, but at the end the sun is waiting to say not being the center of the universe is okay. The silhouette of a tree with the sun shining through its leaves with other trees in the background humbles the viewer, but also reassures him/her that this is alright.

The silhouette of the tree with the bright light streaming through, and also the low angle give you a sense of warmth and even hope even though you dont know what your hoping for.

That is a really cool picture. The very low camera angle, (almost directly at the base of the tree), makes the tree look imposing and really really tall. It almost looks fake, because it is so imposing- the leaves are gone, and the branches are looming above the viewer. There is a lot of shadow, also giving the tree a stern, stark nature. Finally, the shot is long enough so you can see a lot of the trunk, adding to the perceived height. There is definitely an eerie feeling I get when I see it.
